Happy Cycle #3 – Day 6-8 of 3 week challenge

I tried to edit all the songs I found together and I find it is so challenging to mix all the songs together as they have their own background music, melody, tempo, beat or even the tone. Especially the Chinese songs on the list are in a rather slow tempo and quiet background music when compare with the Korean and English songs on the list. Therefore, I narrowed down the range of songs again and edited the English song first. However, it still took a really long time for the editing.

In these days, I redid the editing for few times as I was not satisfied with the outcome. I tried to repeat some of the lyrics to do the transition to the next song. However, the duration of each song seems too long or some combination was not good. Therefore, I re-edited again.

But by the time I edit the songs, I learnt to make use the drum at the background of each music as the key to connect songs together in order to make the song sounds more “natural”. The outcome now is like an advertisement song which is a surprise and quite funny. Although the process took much longer than I thought, it reminds me some of my childhood memories. As there are some songs on the list I haven’t listened to them for a long time.

Day 5 of 3 week challenge

Today, I think of an idea to make a song to create a happy cycle. I will mix the sentence of the song I have listened if there is “happy” related lyrics together and edit as a song to loop. At first, I am thinking to include the wording such as joy, smile or laugh as well. However, the range will be much widened and more difficult to handle.

I find some of the songs which contain the word, “happy” are sad songs, especially for the Taiwanese and Cantonese songs.
